We have compact equipment for getting into tight
areas and to tread lightly over your lawn. Our Bocat and John
Deere tractor can perform almost any small excavating job you
may need.
With all the hills and bad soil in Western Pennsylvania, water
tends
to be a problem. french drains can be installed to
help alleviate this problem.
We excavate a ditch 1' wide starting 8-10" deep and gaining 1/4" in
depth per foot so that the gathered water will flow out of
the pipe. Landscaping
fabric is installed in the ditch extending out both sides. 2" of
gravel and perforated pipe is installed with the holes down. The remaining
ditch is filled with gravel, the excess landscaping fabric is folded
over the ditch to keep all dirt and debris out, topsoil installed over
the fabric and reseeded. If excess surface water exists the ditch can
be left with the gravel exposed this will remove more water. |
